Last year we had the
balcony on the back of the house replaced with a new metal and GRP structure. The decking was made out of plastic
composite boards from Envirobuild and we had some left over. Lockdown provided some time to recycle these boards into some new projects. These grey waterproof boards should prove to be a suitable non-rot replacement for perished wood.
One important thing to note with these boards is that the "sawdust" is in fact small micro plastic shavings. All cutting and drilling was done on a tarp so that these shaving could be collected, bagged and disposed of properly.
